Our Sleep Testing Services

The Cedar Valley Sleep Center tests for some of the most common sleep-related conditions, including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome (RLS), periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD), and REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD). We test for these five sleep disorders in a home-like environment that features a comfortable queen-sized bed, gentle lighting, and a relaxing atmosphere in order to encourage a comfortable patient experience and the most-conducive sleeping conditions. These tests are conducted at night, and monitor patient vital information (such as brain waves, eye and leg movements, oxygen levels, and heart and breathing rates) via a series of sensors in order to detect sleep-related conditions. All studies are taped, and patients do not experience pain during this noninvasive testing. After the studies are completed, patients and their referring providers discuss the results and potential plans of treatment, including lifestyle modifications, sleep disorder treatment equipment, and/or surgery.
